Shivalik Ear & Speech Clinic

Being in a basement in A-Block Shivalik means it stays a little cooler than the street level, which is a nice relief during the Delhi summers. We are right near Arvindo College in Malviya Nagar. It is a quiet spot even though the area around us is usually buzzing with students and people heading to the market. Finding A-115 is easy enough if you know the block well. Inside, we have set up different areas for ear checks and for talking to people about their speech. It is not a huge space, but it works for what we do every day. The lights are a bit bright because we need to see what we are doing when we look into someone’s ears. We have been here for a while now and the regulars know exactly where to find the entrance down the stairs. Sometimes the heavy rain causes a bit of worry since we are in the basement, but we have managed fine so far. We spend our mornings getting the equipment ready and making sure every tool is in its right place. It is mostly about listening to people and trying to figure out how to help them communicate better. Sometimes kids come in and they can be a bit loud in the waiting room, but that is just part of the day. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us doing the job and making sure the clinic is open on time. Delhi is a busy place, but down here it feels a bit slower.
