About Safdarjang Hospital – Medical & Healthcare in South Delhi
We’ve been here at Ward No 16 for a long time now. Most people come to the Dept Of Neurology when things get complicated with their nerves or head stuff. It’s busy. You can hear the trolleys moving down the halls at all hours. We try to keep things moving because there are always more people waiting in the corridors. Safdarjang Hospital is a huge place, easy to get lost in, but we are right here in this specific section. Our desks are usually piled with charts and we use old pens that sometimes run out of ink right when you need to sign something. It’s not fancy. The paint on the walls might be a bit dull, and the chairs in the waiting area have seen better days. But we show up every morning, drink some tea, and start checking on the patients in the beds. Sometimes the elevators take forever, so we just use the stairs. It’s a lot of walking. We know the families get tired of sitting around, so we try to give them updates when we can catch a breath. Working in neurology means things can be quiet one minute and then everyone is rushing the next. It’s just how it is here. We don't have fancy brochures. We just have our work and the patients who need us to look at their scans and figure out what’s going on. It’s a bit loud sometimes with all the voices, but that’s just life in a big city hospital ward.
