If you know where the Jal Vihar Round About is, you’ve probably seen our sign. We are at L-85 in Lajpat Nagar 2. This part of Delhi is always moving, and we are right in the thick of it. People come in with sore backs or knees that won’t stop clicking. We have the physiotherapy tables set up and the equipment for orthopaedic stuff. It’s a practical space. Not much in the way of decoration, mostly just charts on the walls and exercise balls in the corner. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud you can hear the horns, but inside we just focus on the therapy. We see a lot of elderly folks from the neighborhood who need help staying mobile. Also, some younger people who probably pushed themselves too hard at the gym. It gets quite busy in the evenings when people finish work and stop by for their sessions. The staff here is used to the pace. We drink a lot of tea between patients. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have a big reception desk with a fancy computer, just a simple logbook and some chairs. It’s been this way for a while. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the regular faces on the street. It’s just a local clinic doing what it does every day. We keep some extra towels in the back for the busy rainy days.
