Omi Vegetable Fruit

Omi Vegetable Fruit is located at Shop No 104 right inside the Okhla Mandi. It is a very busy place, especially if you come here early in the dark before the sun is even up. That is when all the trucks come in and everyone is shouting to get things moved. We spend most of our time sorting through crates and making sure things are where they should be for the day. It gets very muddy when it rains, and the smell of the market is something you get used to after a few days of working here. We have been in this spot for a while now. It is not a quiet job at all. There are always people pushing carts and trying to get the price they want for their load. We just sit here and deal with whatever comes in from the farms. Sometimes the quality is good and sometimes it is just okay, we just show what we have on the floor. Our shop is not very large, just enough space for the produce and a small place to sit and do the accounts. By midday, things start to slow down a little, and we get a chance to eat something. It is hard work on the back and the legs, standing around all day long. But this is the life in the Mandi. We do not have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are.
