We sit in B 38 of Ansal Chamber II, over at 6 Bhikaji Cama Place. It is a busy commercial hub, and there are always people rushing around the corridors. Neha Consultants has been here for a while, tucked away among all the other offices. The space is filled with desks and stacks of papers because that is just the nature of consulting work in real estate. We deal with a lot of different people every day, from those looking for a small office to families searching for an apartment. Bhikaji Cama Place can be a bit overwhelming with all the traffic and the maze of buildings, but once you get inside our office, it is a bit more relaxed. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we go through the latest listings. We don't have a polished corporate image; we are just regular people working in a regular office. Most of our day is spent making phone calls and trying to coordinate meetings between buyers and sellers. It involves a lot of waiting and a lot of talking. We know the layout of Ansal Chamber II like the back of our hands. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we end up taking the stairs and running into other people we know. It is a small world in these big office blocks. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
