M S Interiors

Our shop is over in Batla House, specifically at H 78/8A in Jamia Nagar. If you know where Shahab Masjid is, we are right nearby. M S Interiors is basically a place where we handle wood, paint, and all the stuff that goes into making a room look like a home. It’s a small operation. Most days, there is sawdust on the floor and some sketches laying on the table. We take on jobs for houses in the neighborhood, mostly. It is a bit cramped in this part of Delhi, so we have to be smart about how we use space. We aren't designers with big fancy portfolios; we just know how to build things and fix up interiors. Sometimes we are out at a site all day, and other times we are here at the shop cutting material. The street is narrow, as anyone from Batla House knows, so moving furniture in and out can be a real headache. We’ve had this spot for a bit now. People stop by to ask about cupboards or getting a room repainted. It’s straightforward work. We don’t use any special jargon or anything. If someone wants a shelf, we talk about what wood works and how much it will cost. That is about it. It’s honest work, and we stay busy enough with the local crowd. We just take things one day at a time here.
