Al Hayat Interiors

Our workshop is located at F-119 in Abul Fazal Enclave, which is part of the Jamia Nagar area in Okhla. The street outside is usually busy with rickshaws and people going about their business. Inside, the air is often filled with the smell of cut wood and glue. We do interior work, so we have samples of laminates and fabrics lying around everywhere. It’s a bit of a mess most of the time, but we know where everything is. We spend our days measuring things, cutting materials, and talking to clients about how they want their rooms to look. It’s not a fancy studio with air conditioning or soft music. We mostly have a couple of ceiling fans that struggle in the summer heat. Our tools are well-used and we take care of them as best as we can. People from the enclave often stop by to ask for small repairs or to see what kind of cupboards we can build. We don't have a salesperson; you just talk to whoever is free at the moment. It’s hands-on work and our clothes usually have some paint or sawdust on them by the end of the day. We take pride in just getting the job done right without a lot of fuss. Jamia Nagar is a tight-knit place and word of mouth is how most people find us. It’s just us working hard in our corner of Okhla every day.
