La-Demure

La-Demure is located at F-225/B in Lado Sarai. If you’ve ever walked around Lado Sarai, you know it’s a bit of a mix of old village vibes and new businesses. Our place is in one of those buildings that has seen a lot of years. Inside, we work on different types of clothing and design stuff. It’s not a massive space, but we make the most of it. We have a few mannequins standing around that sometimes scare you if you walk in when the lights are low. Most of our day is spent looking at different textiles and trying to figure out how they should hang. We have a lot of pins and measuring tapes lying around, and they always seem to disappear right when you need them. The neighborhood is full of art galleries and little workshops, so we feel right at home here. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. It's just us, some fabric, and a lot of work. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop and makes it quite warm, so we usually keep the fan on high. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in fashion; we just want to finish the orders we have on our table. It’s a simple way to spend the day, and we like the community here in Lado Sarai. It’s real and a bit messy, just like us.
