Fortise La Famme

Our location is at Fii/55 in Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, specifically in the Madangir Khanpur area of New Delhi. Fortise La Famme is a place where people come when they have health concerns, so the atmosphere is usually quite serious but busy. The building is right in the middle of a crowded neighborhood, so there is always the sound of rickshaws and people talking outside. Inside, we have the reception desk and the waiting area which is almost always full. The walls are painted a clean white, and there is that specific smell of a clinic that you notice as soon as you walk in. Our staff members are usually running around between rooms, checking on patients or filing medical records. It’s not a very large facility, but we use every bit of space we have. The desks are piled with folders and there’s a constant ringing of the phone for appointments. We don't have time for fancy decorations; we just keep the equipment clean and the chairs ready. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of living in Delhi. We try to keep things organized so that people don't have to wait too long. It is hard work, and we are just regular people trying to help out the families that come to see us in Madangir.
