International Tycoon

We are located in the basement at 500/58 in Govind Puri. It’s down a few steps, so you have to watch your head if you’re tall. Being in Kalkaji, it's always crowded outside with people and rickshaws. The basement stays a bit cooler than the street, which is a relief in the summer. We have a few desks and a lot of storage space for our inventory. It can feel a bit cramped when we get a new shipment in, but we manage to find a spot for everything. There isn't much natural light down here, so we rely on the overhead tubes that hum a little. We spend the day answering calls and writing out invoices by hand mostly. Sometimes the neighbor's kids run past the windows at the top of the wall. It’s a humble setup, nothing like those big offices you see in the movies. We’ve been called International Tycoon for a while, but we’re really just a small team trying to keep things running. We drink a lot of chai to keep ourselves going. You get used to the sounds of the street above—the honking and the shouting of the vendors. It’s just a normal basement office in a busy part of town. We do our work and go home. Usually, we're out by seven unless there's a lot of paperwork to finish. It’s just how things go for us.
