Independently

CR Park is one of those places in Delhi that has a very specific feel to it. I’m at G 1261, right in the heart of Chittaranjan Park. Working independently from here is something I’ve grown quite fond of. The streets are lined with trees, and you can hear the morning calls of the vendors if you’re up early enough. It’s not like those big glass office parks in Gurgaon or Noida. This is a real neighborhood with real people. My workspace is just a part of the house where I keep all my books and my computer. I don’t have any employees or a big reception desk. It’s just me handling the daily bits and pieces. Delhi 110019 is a good area to be in, though finding parking near G Block can be a nightmare sometimes. I spend my days answering emails, figuring out my next steps, and sometimes just staring out the window at the birds in the park. It’s a quiet way to live and work. I prefer this to a corporate environment because I can set my own pace and not worry about office politics. The house is old but comfortable, and it suits the way I do things. No fluff, no marketing nonsense, just a person working from a desk in a nice part of South Delhi. It’s a simple life and the work gets done just the same.
