Eastern Financiers

Our office at B-102 in Kalkaji is right on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to just walk in when they have a question. Eastern Financiers isn't one of those big banks with marble floors and security guards everywhere. It’s just a simple room with a few desks, some filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a lot of pens that always seem to run out of ink at the wrong time. We spend most of our hours looking over paperwork and helping folks figure out their forms or checking on their accounts. The street outside can be a bit chaotic with people heading to the market, but inside it’s usually just the sound of a printer humming or someone typing away. We keep a stack of newspapers on the table for anyone waiting, and we usually have the ceiling fan going full blast during the summer months. It’s a steady kind of job, and we’ve gotten to know a lot of the families around Kalkaji over the years. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we just show up, do the math, and try to keep the files in order. Sometimes the computer system gets slow and we have to wait around, which gives us a chance to chat about what’s for dinner or how the local cricket match went.
