Dhiraj & Co. is located at Shop No. 1624/14, down Gali No. 14 in Govind Puri. It’s a tight little street, but there’s a lot of life in it. We’ve been in this shop for many years, and we know just about everyone on the block. Our shop is small, and we have things stacked pretty high to make use of the space. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. We spend our days handling the local trade and talking to customers who come in. Govind Puri is always loud and busy, which we’ve grown to love. You hear the motorbikes and the neighbors calling out to each other all day long. We don't have any of those modern fancy things; we just do business face-to-face or over the phone. It’s more personal that way. My son helps me out with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. We don't have a uniform or a polished look. We just wear what’s comfortable for working. Sometimes the electricity flickers when the weather is bad, but we just light a candle and keep going. We don’t promise anything we can’t do. We just try to be helpful to the people who walk through our door. It’s a simple shop in a busy part of town, and we’re happy to be here doing our bit.
