You can find us at B-72 in Phase II of the Mangolpuri Industrial Area. This is a real industrial zone, so it is all about the work being done inside the buildings. We have these big knitting machines that run for most of the day, making flyknit material. The noise is constant—a sort of rhythmic clicking and humming that you eventually stop noticing after a few weeks of working here. The space is large and open to fit all the equipment, and there are big spools of synthetic yarn stacked up in the corner. We spend a lot of time checking the machines to make sure they aren't snagging the thread or skipping a pattern. It is not the kind of place where you sit down much. We are always on our feet, moving between the rows of machines or packing the finished fabric into large plastic bags for transport. The light inside is bright and fluorescent, which helps us catch any mistakes in the knit. Mangolpuri can be a dusty area, so we have to keep the machines clean every evening before we head home. It is a straightforward operation without any frills. We have a small area where we keep our lunch boxes and a water cooler, but the rest of the floor is strictly for production. It is a busy, noisy environment, but we get a lot of work finished every single week.
