Lajpat Nagar-II is always a busy place to be, and our office at 35, Vinoba Puri is right in the thick of it. The street is narrow and there are cars parked everywhere, so getting to the office in the morning can be a bit of a challenge. Our space is in a building that has seen better years, but it’s sturdy. Inside, it’s mostly just us and our equipment. Since we deal with organics, there’s often a specific smell in the air, not bad, just different. We have a few rooms divided by glass partitions that are a bit smudged. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a lot of decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a few charts. The staff usually brings their own lunch and we eat together in the small pantry area. It gets quite loud during the day because of the traffic outside and the general buzz of Lajpat Nagar. We’ve gotten used to the sound of the metro nearby too. It’s a lot of paperwork and managing orders. The desk chairs aren't the most ergonomic, but they do the job. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor; we just focus on getting the work done and heading home before the evening rush hour gets too bad. It’s an honest day’s work in a very busy part of town. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us all by name.
