We are tucked away at V-23/21 in Vivekananda Park, which is in the Komdohori area of Garia in Kolkata. Living and working in Garia means you are used to the narrow streets and the constant buzz of people everywhere. Our spot is right in the middle of it all. It’s a typical Kolkata neighborhood where everyone lives close together. We don’t have a massive warehouse here; it’s more of a local office where we manage everything. The cement business in a place like Garia is all about knowing the local narrow lanes and how to get things delivered without causing a traffic jam. We spend our days on the phone or talking to the laborers and contractors who come by. The office is just a room with some old furniture and a fan that squeaks a little. We don't use any polished language or try to sound bigger than we are. It’s just us, dealing with the daily grind of the city. Sometimes it is rainy and the streets get flooded, which slows everything down, but we just wait it out and get back to work when we can. People around Vivekananda Park know we are here. We’ve been part of the local scene for a while now, and we just focus on getting the cement to the construction sites nearby without any complications.
