Ambuja Cements Ltd.

We are based at 143 Anandapally, right in the Mahamayatala area of Garia. Kolkata can be really humid, and our Ambuja Cements Ltd. office near Dr. Jahar Lal Roy’s place definitely feels it. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some calendars on the wall and a few chairs for visitors. The cement bags come in and go out, and we stay busy keeping the records straight. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but we know every corner. Most of the staff has been here long enough that we don’t need to look at the map anymore. We spend a lot of time talking to the local contractors. They usually stop by in the mornings before it gets too hot. Dealing with heavy loads in this weather is tough, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. The street outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, which makes moving the cement a real chore. We just put on our boots and get on with it. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. It’s just a place where work happens. We focus on the daily tasks, like checking the weight of the bags and making sure the invoices are signed. There’s a lot of noise from the nearby shops, but it’s a good community to be part of. We like the local rhythm of things. We have been here at this spot for quite some time now.
