Our place, Ambika Arihant Food Pvt. Ltd., is out at 187 in the Hsidc area of Kundili. It is a big industrial zone, and if you have ever been to the Kundili district, you know it is mostly factories and warehouses for miles. We handle food products here, so there are always strict rules about keeping things clean and following the local regulations. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy structure that holds our processing equipment and storage. Most of the people working here come from the nearby villages or towns, so it’s a local crowd. We start early because the heat can get pretty bad in the afternoons during the summer. Dealing with food means you have to be careful with timing and how things are stored. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that; we just focus on the batches we are running that day. Sometimes a machine breaks down or a delivery truck gets stuck in traffic, and we just have to adjust the schedule. It is a practical way of living. We’ve been part of the Hsidc community for some time, and we see the same faces every day at the tea stalls outside. It’s a hard-working atmosphere where people just want to get their shift done and go home to their families.
