Akhand Foods Private Limited

Our place is located out in Village Liwaspur, right on Rathdana Road. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s where we have all our equipment and storage space. We work with different types of food products throughout the year. The routine is pretty much the same every day. We open the gates early when the first trucks arrive with supplies. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages, so there’s a lot of local talk going on while we work. The warehouse can get pretty cold in the winter months, so we all wear extra layers while we move the crates around. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us doing the sorting and the packing on the floor. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so the machines don't stop for too long. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when we have to load the finished goods onto the transport trucks. The road outside can get very dusty when it’s dry, and then it’s all mud when the monsoon hits. We just deal with whatever the weather throws at us and keep the production line moving. It’s not the most exciting work, but it keeps us busy and the days go by fast enough when we have a lot of orders.
