The mill is situated on Trilok Pur Road in Sirmaur, just a short distance from the main road. It’s a pretty rugged area, and the weather can get quite cold during the winter months, which makes the heat from the rolling mill actually feel nice. We spend most of our hours around the machinery, watching the steel go through the rollers. It’s noisy, dusty, and honest work. You can hear the sounds of the plant from quite a way off. We’ve got a regular crew here, many of whom have been with us for years and know the machines by their sounds. We aren't big on fancy titles or sitting in offices; most of the time you’ll find the managers out on the floor with the workers. The road outside gets a lot of trucks coming and going, especially when we’re shipping out a big order. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where the work happens. We keep the kettle going for tea almost all day long because you need that break now and then. Sometimes the power flutters or a machine needs a quick fix, and we just handle it as it comes. It’s not a polished corporate environment, just a place where we roll metal and get through the day's tasks. It’s what we know how to do. We just keep the wheels turning regardless of the weather.
