Individual - Shamshad

My name is Shamshad and I stay in Village-Amar Garh. My place is under the Puruwala Post Office in the Paonta Sahib Tehsil area. Living and working here in Dist- Sirmaur is quite different from being in a big city. It’s a quiet village where everyone mostly knows each other by name. I handle my work from here, and if anyone needs to find me, they just ask around the village for Shamshad. The roads here can be a bit tricky when it rains, but it is home. I spent most of my life in this part of Himachal, and I don't see myself going anywhere else. Mail comes through the Puruwala office, which is where I go to check for anything important. Paonta Sahib is the main town we head to for bigger supplies or if there is something specific we can't find in Amar Garh. It’s a long way from the noisy highways, so it stays peaceful for the most part. I do my bit of work every day, whatever comes my way. Sometimes people from the nearby villages stop by if they heard I could help them with something. It’s a simple life, and I keep things basic. No fancy office or big signs, just me working out of my village home. Usually, the day starts when the sun comes up over the hills. There isn't a lot of noise, just the usual birds and the occasional tractor going by. That’s how it goes here.
