Sunrise Palace

Sunrise Palace is located at the Old Bharatpur Kothi. It’s a pretty easy spot to find because we’re right opposite the petrol pump. The building itself has been around for a long time. It’s got thick walls and that old style of architecture that you don’t see much anymore. We haven't changed much about the structure because we like the way it feels. It’s got character. Living and working in an old Kothi means there’s always something to fix or a corner that needs painting, but we don't mind. It keeps us busy. We mostly see travelers who are passing through or people looking for a bit of history. The rooms are large, much bigger than what you get in those new modern hotels. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and a few helpers keeping the place going. We try to keep the garden out front looking decent so people have a nice view while they sit outside. Being across from the petrol pump is actually quite useful for our guests who are on road trips. They can fill up and then come over for a rest. We don't promise anything over the top. We just offer a solid roof, a bed, and a bit of peace in an old house. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see the kids running around in the evening. It is a bit worn, but it is comfortable.
