Hotel Atul near the New Bus Stand in Sadar Bazar. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Being so close to the bus stand means we see a lot of people every single day. The market outside is always full of people buying and selling stuff. It’s loud from early morning until late at night. I usually start the day by sweeping the front area and making sure the water is running in all the rooms. We have a simple setup. The rooms have the basics, a bed, a fan, and maybe a small table. We don’t have air conditioning in every room, so it can get warm, but we have windows that open up to let the breeze in. The building is a bit old, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but we try to keep it tidy. Most people who stay here are traders or folks visiting family. They aren't looking for luxury. They just want a place that’s close to the buses. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us on the phone. My cousin helps me with the night shift. We sit behind the counter and talk to whoever comes in. It’s a basic life, and the hotel reflects that. We just do our work and go home when the shift is over. It’s a local spot for local people. We keep the lights on for the late travelers.
