Pride Hotel Ahmedabad

We are located up here in Mount Abu at Choti Dhundai. If you haven't been here, it’s a bit different from the rest of Rajasthan because it actually gets cold. We call this place Pride Hotel Ahmedabad even though we are physically up in the hills. I am twenty-four years old and I spend most of my day at the front desk or checking on the kitchen supplies. The address is 307501 if you are looking it up on a map. Our building is solid and has been around for a bit. We get a lot of people driving up from the cities to escape the heat, so the weekends are usually a bit of a scramble. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, a few cleaners, and the cooks. We wake up early to get the tea going because that’s what everyone wants first thing. Sometimes the internet is slow because of the mountain location, but we manage. We handle the laundry ourselves and try to keep the garden looking decent. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just provide a room and some food to people who are passing through. The nights are quiet and you can hear the wind. It’s a decent way to make a living and we like the people who visit us. We just keep going one day at a time.
