Paramar Pan Center

If you are walking around Krishan Nagar, you will probably see us right there in front of Sarjawa Gat. Paramar Pan Center has been sitting on this corner for a long time. The spot is usually quite noisy because of all the people passing through the gate. We open up pretty early because the morning walkers like to stop by. The counter is usually covered with leaves and containers. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful where we put everything. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to pull the shutters halfway, but we usually stay open. I have lived in this area my whole life, so I know most of the people who come to the shop. We talk about the weather or how the local market is doing. It’s not just about selling things; it is more about being part of the street. The shelves are a bit old and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it doesn't bother anyone. People just want their usual stuff and a bit of a chat before they head home. There are days when it’s so quiet you can hear the birds, and other days when you can barely hear yourself think over the traffic. That is just how it is here. We keep it simple and just do our job every day without much fuss or worry about being fancy. It is just a small local shop for the neighborhood.
