Shram-Yogi Women Poultry Producer Company Limited

Shram-Yogi Women Poultry Producer Company Limited is a local group run by women here in Tirla. We are based at Lalita Bai’s house, which people call Sawariya Sadan. It’s in the Anand Mandal part of town. We mostly focus on poultry, so there is always some talk about feed and chickens when you come by. It’s a very local setup, not a big office building. We sit together in the main room of the house and go over the accounts and the poultry schedules. It can get a bit loud with everyone talking and the sounds from the neighborhood. Tirla is a place where people work hard, and we wanted to do something to help the women here earn a bit more. We didn't have any experience with running a company when we started, so we have been learning everything as we go. It’s about managing the birds and making sure the eggs get to where they need to go. We don't have any fancy titles, we all just pitch in where we are needed. Sometimes we are dealing with sick birds or transport issues, which can be stressful. But we stay at it because it’s our business. It feels good to have something of our own right here at Sawariya Sadan. We just keep things moving one day at a time without much fuss or corporate rules.
