Yakthung Manpower & Security Services (P) Ltd.

We are set up right along NH-31 at Phansidewa More, near Post-New Rongia in the Darjeeling district. Yakthung Manpower & Security Services (P) Ltd. is our company, but most people just know us as the local office by the highway. Being out here in Darjeeling, we deal with a lot of different kinds of manpower needs. We help find workers for tea gardens, construction sites, and we also provide security guards. The office gets quite chilly in the winter, so we usually have a heater going while we talk to people coming in for work. It’s a busy spot because of the highway, and we get people from all over the district stopping by. We don't have a fancy corporate structure. It’s mostly just a few of us handling the applications and the guard postings. We spend a lot of time on the phone with sites that are quite far away. Managing people in this terrain can be tricky with the weather and the roads, but we’ve lived here all our lives, so we know how to handle it. We don't promise anything impossible; we just try to find decent workers for the people who ask us. Our records are kept in big ledgers and we try to keep things organized despite the constant flow of people. It’s a steady kind of life, and we like being part of the community here by the Phansidewa More. We aren't doing anything fancy, just connecting people with work.
