Our office is at 54A Zakaria Street, right by C R Avenue. If you know that area, you know it is one of the busiest parts of the city. There is always noise from the traffic and the markets nearby. Sahara Security Services started because we saw how much the local shops and buildings needed someone to keep an eye on things. We aren't a giant company with thousands of people. We are a smaller team of guys who know the streets around here. We spend a lot of time talking to building owners and finding the right people to stand at the gates. It is not an easy job. You have to be awake when everyone else is sleeping. We check in on our staff at different sites to make sure everything is okay. Sometimes we sit in the office and go over the schedules. It gets pretty cramped when everyone comes in for their shift change. We don't have fancy uniforms for ourselves, just plain clothes and a lot of coffee to stay alert. People trust us because they see us around every day. We don't promise anything impossible, we just make sure there is someone reliable at the door. It is honest work. Dealing with the crowd on Zakaria Street teaches you a lot about how to stay calm and watch everything. We stay late to finish the log books.
