Sunrise Distributors

We’ve been here at No. 23 on D.L. Roy Sarni for a good while now. Most people know us because we’re tucked into Bata Gali, just off the main Hill Cart Road. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes getting the trucks in and out of the lane is a real headache, especially during the middle of the day. Our space in Mahananda Para isn't huge, but we make it work with what we have. Sunrise Distributors is mostly about getting things moved from one place to another. You’ll usually see a few of us standing around the doorway checking invoices or loading up smaller vehicles. It gets quite loud with all the traffic from the main road nearby, but you get used to it after the first few weeks. We don’t really have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of boxes stacked up against the walls. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something that needs to be organized or a phone call that needs answering. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and start going through the orders for the day. It’s simple work, really. We’ve known the neighbors around here for years, and it feels like a proper part of the community now. Sometimes we just sit outside and watch the people walking down Hill Cart Road while we wait for the next delivery to arrive at our door. We always close up around the same time when the sun starts to set and the shops around us start to shut their gates.
