We are in Santoshi Nagar, right near the Siliguri Bazar. If you’re heading towards the Khatu Shaym Mandir, you will probably pass our place. Siliguri is a busy town, and being near the bazaar means it’s always loud and crowded. Star Event Wedding Planner is just a small team of us working together. We spend a lot of our time weaving through the rickshaws and carrying supplies from one place to another. Planning a wedding in this part of the country requires a lot of patience. The weather here can be very unpredictable. One moment it’s perfectly fine, and then it starts pouring rain out of nowhere. We’ve spent many nights rushing to cover up decorations and equipment with plastic sheets to keep them dry. It’s not a fancy job like some people imagine. It’s mostly about physical labor and making sure the generator has enough diesel to keep the lights on. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning. We are usually out in the humid air, getting things ready for the next client. We know most of the shopkeepers in the bazaar, which helps when we need to find something specific at the last minute. We don't use complicated words to describe our work. We just show up on time, set everything up, and stay until the very end. It’s tiring, but it's how we make our living here in Siliguri.
