If you’ve ever been down Hill Cart Road in Siliguri, you might have noticed us. We are pretty close to the Venus Hotel, which is a big landmark around here. Our shop, Dj Music World, is usually filled with speakers, cables, and all kinds of sound equipment. It can get a bit loud when we’re testing stuff out, but that’s the nature of the business. We spend a lot of time checking connections and making sure everything sounds right. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who know our way around a mixer. The location is good because it’s easy for people to find us on this main road. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and see the gear piled up. Most of our days are spent getting ready for the next event or fixing a speaker that someone blew out. Hill Cart Road is always moving, so there’s always something happening outside. We like being in the middle of it. We deal with music systems and lights mostly. It’s hands-on work, moving heavy boxes and setting up wires. It’s not a glamorous office job. We get sweaty and our hands get dirty. People come in looking for a setup for a wedding or a small party. We just tell them what we have and what works. It's pretty straightforward.
