Mohindra Tubes Ltd.

Our office for Mohindra Tubes Ltd is located on the 7th floor of the Niladri Shikhar Building. Being up here on Hillcart Road means we have a bit of a view, though mostly it’s just roofs and more buildings. The lift in this place is a bit temperamental, so some of us end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like. Downstairs, the road is always packed with people and traffic, but it gets a bit quieter once you get past the fourth floor. We spend our days surrounded by tube samples and stacks of invoices. It’s a working office, not a showroom, so there’s usually a bit of a mess on the desks. We try to stay organized, but when orders come in thick, things get a little chaotic. We’ve been in the Niladri Shikhar Building for quite a few years. It’s a familiar routine—coming in, checking the stock levels, and making sure the deliveries are on track. Most of us bring our lunch from home and eat together in the small back room. It’s not a polished corporate life. We’re just a small crew doing our jobs and trying to keep things running smoothly. When the monsoon hits, the wind really whistles against the windows up here. It’s a steady kind of existence and we don’t ask for much more than a productive day at the office.
