Care 4 Kids

We’ve been here at the Shantiniketan Housing Complex on Sevoke Road for a while now. It’s a busy part of Siliguri, especially being right in Jyoti Nagar. Most days, we are just busy keeping the little ones occupied while their parents are at work. The space we have is okay for the kids to move around. It gets a bit loud when everyone is here at once, but that’s just how it is with children. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily schedule, making sure everyone has their snacks and doesn't get into too much trouble. Sometimes the traffic outside on Sevoke Road gets a bit much, but once you’re inside the complex, it’s quieter. We started this because there weren’t many places nearby where parents felt okay leaving their kids for the whole day. It's not a fancy setup, just a practical place. We have a few rooms set up for different activities. Some days are smoother than others. If it rains hard, which happens a lot here in Siliguri, we stay indoors and do more drawing or just sit around. There’s no big secret to how we run things. We just show up, open the doors, and get through the day. People in the complex know us, and we know most of the families by now. It’s just a regular local spot for the kids in this neighborhood.
