This place is right in the Main Market of Danta Ramgarh. It’s where we keep the machinery and all the spare parts for the harvesters. It’s a big, open space because those machines take up a lot of room. Most of our work is about keeping the equipment running during the harvest months. There’s always someone around with grease on their face and a wrench in their hand. We have piles of metal parts, belts, and tires stacked up in the back. It’s pretty loud when we’re testing an engine or moving things around. The market outside is always bustling with people buying vegetables or clothes, but inside here, it’s all about the iron and steel. We don’t do much fancy office work. Most of our time is spent on the floor, fixing what’s broken. It gets very dusty during the dry season, and we just keep a jug of water nearby to stay cool. We’ve been in this market for a good while now, so the neighbors all know us by name. When the harvest starts, we barely have time to sit down. We eat our lunch quickly between jobs. It’s a tough, physical job, but it feels good to see the machines heading out to the fields. We just keep things moving as best as we can every single day.
