Sunil Kulkarni

My name is Sunil Kulkarni and I am based out of Loni Bk in Ahmednagar. My place is right near the main market, so I am in the middle of everything that happens in the village. It is a very local way of living and working here. I don't have a big corporate office or a lot of staff. Most of my day is spent meeting with people who come by from the market or the nearby farms. We sit and talk about whatever needs to be done, whether it's paperwork or some other local business. The office is simple, just a desk, some chairs, and a few cupboards for my files. There is always the sound of people talking and scooters passing by outside the door. Sometimes it gets quite dusty because of the market being so close, but that’s just how it is in Loni Bk. I’ve lived around Ahmednagar for a long time, so I know most of the families here. People stop by just to say hello even if they don't have any business. The work is steady and I like being my own boss. I don't use any fancy marketing tricks; people just find me by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they are out shopping. It’s a practical life, and I just try to be helpful to the folks who live around here. When the market starts to wind down in the evening, I pack my bags and head home.
