Efruitmandi Agri Tech is located near the District Hospital in Shopian. It’s a busy spot, especially with the hospital traffic and the local people moving around. Our office is through Mohd Mansoor Shah, and it’s right in the middle of where all the action is. In Shopian, everything revolves around the fruit, and we are trying to use a bit of technology to make that whole process smoother. It’s not a fancy tech hub like you see in the movies; it’s just a couple of us with computers and phones trying to keep track of the mandi prices and the fruit loads. The Srinagar-Pulwama road is always humming with trucks, and we are right there in the thick of it. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, or the electricity goes out, and we have to do things the old-fashioned way with a pen and a notebook. We spend a lot of time talking to the drivers and the orchard owners who stop by after visiting the hospital or the market nearby. It’s a very local way of doing business. We don’t use big words or have complicated meetings. We just sit together, look at the screens, and try to figure out the best way to move the fruit to the buyers. It’s hard work, and the days are long during the peak harvest, but it feels good to be part of the community in Shopian. We just keep the records moving.
