Sri Vishveshwarya Higher Primary School

Our school, Sri Vishveshwarya Higher Primary, is located on the Main Road in Holalkere. It’s a convenient spot for parents living around this side of Chitradurga. The building is simple and doesn't stand out much from the other shops and houses nearby. We have younger kids here, from the early grades up to the end of primary. The classrooms are filled with the sound of children reciting their lessons. We try to keep things organized, but with kids, there's always a bit of a mess. That's just normal. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they're okay for now. We have a small area where the children eat their lunch. Most of them bring dabbas from home. The teachers here are mostly locals who have been with us for years. They know which kid needs a bit of extra help with their Kannada or maths. We don't have a big playground, so they play mostly in the open spaces we have between the rooms. It’s a quiet life in Holalkere, except for the buses passing on the Main Road. We focus on the basics. Reading, writing, and simple arithmetic. That’s what matters at this age. We don’t have fancy computers or a big library, but the kids have their textbooks and each other. It’s a solid little school for the neighborhood. We are just doing our part for the local children here.
