Shemrock Kinder World

Shemrock Kinder World is tucked away here in PJ Extension, right on the 5th Cross. If you know Davangere, you know this part of town gets a bit busy with people going to work. We are at No. 616/2 and it’s a place that stays noisy until the early afternoon. Working with small kids means your hands are always sticky or covered in chalk dust. Most days, I am just trying to make sure nobody loses a shoe in the play area. We have these bright colored walls that we painted a few years back, though some spots are peeling where the kids lean against them. The morning drop-off is always a bit of a mess with scooters and cars everywhere on the street. It takes a while for everyone to settle down once they get inside. We spend a lot of time just sitting on the floor with them, showing them how to hold a pencil or just listening to them talk about their pets. It’s not a polished corporate office. There are toys in the corners and piles of drawings on the tables that need to go home in bags. The tea guy comes by around eleven and that’s usually the only quiet five minutes we get. By the time parents come back at one o'clock, we are usually just looking forward to a bit of silence. It’s a job like any other, just with more crying and laughing than most people deal with.
