Metal Craft

Metal Craft is located on Ashoka Road at Plot No.98/547/874A, right in the Kb Extension area of Davangere. If you walk by, you’ll likely hear the sound of metal hitting metal or the hiss of a welding torch. It’s a workshop, through and through. There is scrap metal in the corners and the smell of burnt iron in the air. We don't have a fancy showroom with glass windows. People come to us when they need something built or fixed out of steel or iron. It’s a dusty job and our hands are rarely clean. We don't use any complicated business strategies. We just look at the drawings, take the measurements, and start cutting the metal. Davangere is a place where people appreciate things that are built to last, so we try to do that. The shop can get really hot in the summer, but we just keep the fans blowing and carry on. We’ve had this spot in Kb Extension for a while and we know most of the other shop owners on Ashoka Road. We don't put out ads in the paper. Usually, a guy tells his friend about us, and that’s how we get our next job. It’s basic, honest work. We take pride in finishing a piece, even if we are exhausted by the time it's done. It's just us and the metal every day, making things by hand.
