Tour-2-Himachal

We've been working out of Kapil Niwas for a while now. It's on the second floor over in Kachi Ghati. If you know the area, we're right near where the Hindustan Petroleum office is located. Shimla is our home, and we spend most of our days here handling things for people coming through Himachal. It gets pretty busy around here, especially when the season picks up. We don't really do the big fancy office thing. It’s just us in a regular building, trying to keep things organized. Some days the traffic near Kachi Ghati is a bit much, but you get used to it. We mostly deal with the logistics of getting around the mountains. It isn't always easy because the roads can be tricky depending on the weather. We started this because we know the local routes well. People stop by the office to talk about where they want to go. We usually just sit down and figure out a plan that makes sense. We aren't a huge corporation, just a small team working out of this spot in Lower Chakkar. We've seen a lot of changes in Shimla over the years. The hills stay the same though. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a road is blocked or a trip won't work, we just say so. It’s better that way. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to drivers who know these hills. It’s a lot of coordination, but we like being right here in the middle of it. We just keep at it every day.
