The Thrill Himalaya

The Thrill Himalaya is tucked away in Sanjauli at Trikant Niwas. We are on Lower Cemetery Road, which might sound a bit strange if you aren't from around here, but it's just a normal street for us. Dingu Baouri is the nearest spot people usually recognize when they are trying to find our door. Shimla is full of these winding paths and steep hills, and Sanjauli is probably one of the busiest parts of it. Our postcode is 171006. We sit here most days working on different trip plans for people coming through the mountains. The office is just a plain room where we keep our maps and registers. It’s not a corporate setup at all, just a few chairs and a desk. We hear the local traffic and the neighborhood kids playing outside. Sometimes the weather gets really foggy and you can hardly see the road from the window. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we don't think much about the climb up and down. People usually call us first because finding Trikant Niwas can be a little tricky the first time. We just do our work, drink a lot of tea, and try to make sure everything is ready for the next day. It’s a simple way of running a business. We don't have a big sign or anything like that. Just a small place where we get things done and keep the paperwork moving along.
