Mountain Mysteries

We are located on the ground floor of Gupta Niwas in Vikas Nagar, Kasumpti. We are right near the petrol pump, which makes it easy for people to find us. Mountain Mysteries is a small team and we’ve been operating out of this office for some time now. Kasumpti is a bit of a different vibe than the main Mall Road area, more of a regular neighborhood where people live and work. We focus on getting people out into the mountains and showing them the places that aren't always on the main maps. We grew up around here, so these hills are home to us. The office is pretty plain. We have a couple of desks and some old maps on the walls. We spend a lot of our time talking to people about the different routes and what they can expect. We don't use big words or try to sell you on things you don't need. If a path is too steep or a road is closed, we will just say so. It’s simpler to be honest about how things are in the mountains. We deal with a lot of local logistics and organizing trips for small groups. We don't have a corporate office in a big city; we are right here in Shimla. We just like what we do and try to make sure everyone has a safe trip. Our family has been in this area for generations, so we know the land very well.
