Micky Travels

You can find Micky Travels at Shop No 3, right near the Padam Dev Market on the Ridge. The Ridge is where everyone gathers in Shimla, so it's a very central place to be. We have been working out of this small shop for quite some time now. It’s a busy area, always full of people walking around and taking pictures. Being near the market means we get to see everything that happens in town. We keep things pretty simple here. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. Usually, it's just us at the counter handling the bookings and talking to drivers. The space is small, but it works for what we need. We know the routes to the nearby villages and the longer trips out of Shimla quite well. People often stop by just to ask for directions or see what the weather is like further up. We don't mind that. It’s part of being a local business. We handle a lot of local transport and trips. We don't promise anything we can't do. If the road is blocked or the weather is bad, we tell people straight. It’s better to be honest about those things. We've lived in Shimla our whole lives, so we understand how the mountains work. It’s a steady job and we enjoy meeting different people every day at the shop. We try to be helpful whenever we can. It is a good way to spend the day.
