Hindustan Helpline Tourism

Hindustan Helpline Tourism is based out of Totu in Shimla. Our office is quite close to the railway station, specifically near the Jatog side of things. It is a busy little area because of the trains and the people moving back and forth all the time. We have a small office where we handle all the tourism queries that come our way. Being near the station is handy because we get to see the toy train pass by, which is always a nice sight even after seeing it a hundred times. The space we work in is simple, with just enough room for our desks and a few chairs for visitors who drop in. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us who know the Shimla routes inside and out. We spend most of our time planning out itineraries and talking to local transport guys. It can get a bit hectic during the summer months when everyone wants to visit the mountains, but we just take it one day at a time. The office doesn't have any flashy decor or high-end furniture. It is just a practical place to work. We like being in Totu because it feels like a real community and not just a tourist trap. Most of our day is spent making sure the arrangements for the next day are solid and that the drivers know their schedules.
