Himyatra Travels

Himyatra Travels is based out of Thakur Vatika in the Khalini area of Shimla. Khalini is a busy residential part of town, and we are right in the middle of it. It’s not a touristy spot, which we kind of like because it feels more like a real neighborhood. Our office is simple, just a place where we can keep our records and talk to our drivers. We have been working from Thakur Vatika for some time now. Dealing with travel in the hills means you have to be ready for anything, like landslides or heavy rain, so we spend a lot of time checking the news and the weather. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of cars. We just have a small group of reliable people we work with. Most of our day is spent answering the phone or fixing the schedule when someone changes their mind. Khalini can be a bit of a maze if you aren't from here, but we know every corner pretty well. We don't put out a lot of advertisements. Usually, people find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby in the colony. We just try to provide a regular service for anyone who needs to get around Himachal. It’s a lot of work, but we enjoy the rhythm of it. Being in Khalini keeps us grounded and connected to the local people who live here year-round.
