Himalayan Package Tours is located at Kangar House in Kachi Ghati. We are right in Shimla - 171001. If you are looking for us, we sit opposite Hotel Him Dev. It’s a decent spot for a travel office because the main road is right there. We spend our days dealing with tourists and hotels. The hills here can be tricky. One day the sun is out and the next there is a landslide blocking the way somewhere. We keep an eye on all that. Our office is pretty simple. We have some chairs and a big desk where we spread out the itineraries. It gets cold in the winters, so the heater is usually running all day long. People come to us when they want to see the mountains. We tell them the truth about how long the drives take. It’s not like the city where you can just hop in a cab and be there in ten minutes. Distances are measured in hours here, not kilometers. We work with a bunch of local drivers who know the turns. Sometimes we have to stay late to make sure a group reached their hotel okay. It is a lot of phone calls and checking lists. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency in town. We just want to make sure the trips we plan actually happen without too much trouble for anyone.
