Gotaxi.Co.In is our little operation located on Vidhan Sabha Road, right in the Main Market near the Victory Tunnel. That tunnel is one of the busiest spots in Shimla, so we’re always right in the middle of the action. We started this because we saw a need for more straightforward taxi options in town. Our office isn't much to look at, just a place to keep the paperwork and take calls. Most of our life is spent outside, talking to drivers or checking the vehicles. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure people can get a ride when they need one without a whole lot of trouble. The traffic near the tunnel can be a nightmare in the afternoons, so we spend a lot of time coordinating around that. We aren't some high-tech startup, despite the website name. We’re just local folks who know how to navigate these narrow mountain roads. If you're walking through the Main Market, you'll probably see our drivers around. We keep things simple and honest. If we can’t get a car to you quickly, we’ll say so. We don't like making promises we can't keep. It's just a basic service run by people who live right here in Shimla. It’s a lot of work keeping things running smoothly when the snow starts falling, but we’ve been doing this for long enough to know the drill.
