Being in Himachal Pradesh means the weather is usually a lot cooler than the plains, and we often have to wear sweaters even inside the office during the winter months. The school next door means it gets very loud during recess and when the bells ring, but we have gotten used to the sound of kids playing over the years. Our address is 171009, and the building itself has a very homely feel to it since it is part of a residential area. We aren't some big, anonymous company in a high-rise. We are just a few people working out of a quiet spot in Shimla. The walk to the office can be a bit steep because of the hills, but it’s good exercise. Sometimes when it rains or snows, it gets a bit tricky to get here on time, but we manage. Inside, the office is just a regular room with a few tables and some old shelves. We don't have any fancy decorations or marketing posters on the walls. Most of our day is spent at our desks, and we usually drink a lot of tea to stay warm. It is a very normal, local place to work, and we like being part of the New Shimla community.
