Atharvajay Kisan Horticulture Privatelimited is our company name. We are located in the Sheikhpura district, specifically in a place called Barbigha. Our actual spot is in the village and post office area of Teus. Mohit Kumar and his mother Aruna Devi are the ones behind this. It’s a real family thing. We focus on horticulture because that’s what the land here is good for. Being in Teus means we are far from the big cities. It's very rural. The air is cleaner but the roads can be a bit rough during the rains. Mohit spends a lot of time out and about. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. It’s just a room where we keep our records and talk to people. Aruna Devi helps out with the planning. The name is a bit of a mouthful, but it represents what we do. We work with the plants and the local kisan. It’s simple work but it takes up all our time. Sometimes the internet is slow out here, so we do a lot of things the old-fashioned way with paper and pens. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Just a physical presence in Barbigha. People know where to find us if they need to talk about horticulture. It’s just us doing our thing in the village and staying close to the roots of the family business.
