Our company is called Dhanora Progressive Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located in Village Dhanora Sajpani, which is in the Ghansore area of Seoni district. You can find us through Gopal Umre. We called ourselves progressive because we are trying to try out some newer ways of doing things, but at the end of the day, we are still just farmers. We live and work in the 480999 area of Madhya Pradesh. It’s a beautiful part of the country, but the work is tough. We formed this producer company to get all the local growers on the same page. It’s not easy running a business when you also have to be out in the sun all day, but we manage. We aren't polished business people; we are just guys who know how to grow crops. The office is just a place to keep the paperwork and meet up when we need to figure out what to plant next or where to sell our stuff. We don't use a lot of fancy words. We just talk about the soil, the rain, and the prices we are getting. It’s an honest way to live. Some days are long, especially during the harvest, but it’s what we’ve always done. We wanted to make sure that the people growing the food actually have some control over what happens to it. That is why this company exists. We just do our best every season and hope for the best results.
